1. Om Guru Shanti
Commentary
In the book “God Talks With Arjuna” Paramahansa Yogananda translates the Bhagavad Gita and on page 603 we find:
“Deeply meditating disciples should concentrate on their guru, or meditate with him if possible. Those who are spiritually advanced do in fact meditate with the guru by visualizing him in the spiritual eye and tuning in with him, whether or not they are in his physical presence. During meditation the spiritual vibration of a great master silently works on lesser yogis who may be meditating with him or who are in tune with him regardless of distance. It is sufficient for a disciple to think strongly of his guru before meditation. He will then find his meditation on God to be reinforced by the Lord’s power flowing through the direct, tangible channel of the guru.”
Lyrics
Om Gurudeva
Shanti Shanti Shanti
2. I Just Want To be With You
Commentary
English Poet Laureate (1850–1892) Lord Alfred Tennyson wrote: “Speak to Him thou for He hears, and Spirit with Spirit can meet. Closer is He than breathing, and nearer than hands and feet.”
Lyrics
No matter where I go
No matter what I do
Gurudeva, I just want to be with You.
Gurudeva, I just want to be with You.
I will reason, I will will
I will act and do my best each day
Knowing that You are only a thought away
Gurudeva, You are only a thought away.
If you should leave, what will I do?
I’ll go inside and think of You,
Gurudeva, for You are only a thought away.
Gurudeva, You are only a thought away.
In my heart there is a place
Where I can stay in Your embrace.
Gurudeva, You are only a thought away.
And in that thought, that thought so sweet
I find myself there at Your feet,
Gurudeva, and I just want to be with You.
Gurudeva, I just want to be with You.
Gurudeva, I just want to be with You.
Gurudeva, I just want to be with You.
3. My Only Song
Commentary
Overwhelming, unspeakable gratitude is the blessed state of Grace that permeates the heart, mind, and consciousness of that disciple who knows the sweetness of the guru-disciple relationship.
Lyrics
Gurudeva, My Gurudeva
Gurudeva, Gurudeva
You are my life; my only song
My Sweet Gurudeva
My Sweet Gurudeva
You are my life; my only song
My Sweet Gurudeva
My Sweet Gurudeva
My Sweet Gurudeva
My Sweet Gurudeva
4. Just One Glimpse Of Thee
Commentary
For the saints and aspiring mystics alike, the Guru is the speaking voice of silent God …the dispeller of darkness …the Eternal Friend and Divine Beloved.
In the book “Only Love” Sri Daya Mataji encourages the devotee: “Be content with the slightest glimpse of the Divine within—a sense of quiet peace deep in your consciousness.”
Lyrics
Just one glimpse of Thee; Just one glimpse of Thee
and the world disappears
Just one thought of Thee; Just one thought of Thee
and my fears disappear
Just one look from Thee; Just one look from Thee
Oh blessed ecstasy! I know You’re here with me.
Oh blessed ecstasy! I know You’re here with me.
Just one glimpse of Thee
Just one thought of Thee
Just one look from Thee
Oh blessed ecstasy! I know You’re here with me.
Oh blessed ecstasy! I know You’re here with me.
Oh blessed ecstasy! I know You’re here with me.
5. Ever Near
Commentary
Sri Mrinalini Mataji: “Paramahansaji said ‘Remember always, when I leave the body, I will no longer be able to talk to you with this voice, but I will know every thought you think and every action you perform.…I never enter the lives of those who do not wish it, but with those who have given me this right, and who seek my guidance, I am always present. My consciousness is attuned to them; I am aware of even the slightest tremor of their consciousness.”

6. All I Know
Commentary
Sister Parvati exemplifies the trust in and love of the disciple for the Guru in a note she wrote to her beloved guru, Paramahansa Yoganandaji: “I trust fully in You. You never fail me. I ever cling to You, for behind these shadows I am in Your immortal arms.”
Lyrics
How can a mind understand such love?
How can a heart hope to hold such love?
All I know, is I know
That I’ll never stop loving You
I’ll never stop loving You
Just to know Your Name
Sets my heart aflame, my Love
And I’ll never stop loving You
How can a mind understand such love?
How can a heart hope to hold such love?
All I know, is I know
That I’ll never stop loving You
I’ll never stop loving You
Just to behold Your Face
What sweet embrace, my Love
And I’ll never stop loving you
How can a mind understand such love?
How can a heart hope to hold such love?
All I know, is I know
that I’ll never stop loving You
I’ll never stop loving You
Just to see Your Eyes
tenderly looking back at me, my Love
I know I’ll never stop loving You
How can a mind understand such love?
How can a heart hope to hold such love?
All I know, is I know
that I’ll never stop loving You
I’ll never stop loving You
Just to hear Your Voice
silently whispering to me, my Love
“My child, I’ll never stop loving you.”
Then I know, yes, I know
that our love is true
and I know, yes, I know
that I’ll go on loving You
Through the dark; through the night;
through Your Grace; through Your Light
All I know, is I know
that I’ll never stop loving You
I’ll never stop loving You
For I know, yes, I know
that our love is true
And I know, yes, I know
that I’ll go on loving You
Through the dark; through the night;
through Your Grace; through Your Light
All I know, is I know
that I’ll never stop loving You.
I’ll never stop loving You.
I will never stop
loving You
7. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti
Commentary
“…O Immortal Teacher, I bow to thee as the speaking voice of silent God.
